Well with the new baby in the house my son and I spent some time working on the car after the rest of the kids were in bed and the wife was trying to get some sleep. Got a smoking hot deal from a fellow VCA member on this fully polished Intake and "Hot Dang" it looks sweet if I do say so myself:naughty:! It absolutley makes the engine look big and nasty!

It does look sweet...I've got a 2001, so I'm not familiar with what the before picture looked like...do you have a before/after set of pictures?

That makes such a huge difference I must say. The best dress up engine mod IMHO. I have been looking for one. Very nice looking engine bay. I wish I had the patience and tools to be able to polish mine

Shandon,

How long does it take to remove and put new intake on? Looks like a lot of bolts to remove.

Uhh a pretty long process and you need a couple special extensions for the rachet that can be had at any sears or loews place. Several hours of work but with some tunes and an extra set of hands it goes smooth.

That look fantastic Shandon! Is there a S/C in you future too? :2tu:

Nope I'm going to stay away from Superchargers or any FI system. Going with a big fat (Head Cam compression piston rods etc. build) in the fall. Looking for 700 or so Crank hp with 600RWHP. Gotten lots of quotes and so when the warm weather starts to go away I will either ship the car or ship the engine. Hey thanks again for the Bling!!!:D

Thanks Yall! I think the look adds 10hp and keeps the engine cooler now that the air can just glide over the baby smooth intake. :D
