Hello guys, I just purchased an 04 a few months ago and I'm fixing a few odds and ends.
I noticed the dash is slightly warped and the Vent is loose and is sticking up.
Is there any fix for this?

Thanks,
Mark

I had my entire dash assembly out several years ago to look at a blend door issues in the HVAC box. The upper portion of the dash it glued down to the main structure under it. On mine the front edge was starting to lift, so I tried gluing it back down with some spray adhesive, but I'm not sure it really did much. That vent is just held in with some ribs that are cast into it that grab the ledge on the dash. You might be able to press down a little harder and see if the rib will grab again, but I'm guessing the glue has given up and the dash cover is starting to separate a bit and it forcing the vent up.

The dash is definitely lifting up along the front of the defroster vent.
It's really annoying because the Vent is not even held in place at all and pops out and slides across the dash around corners.
Looking through some YouTube videos some people have had luck with "Amazing Automotive Goop" & "Permatex 5 Minute Epoxy".
Maybe I'll give one of those a try.

Thanks!
