My viper is a few years old.. so its not surprising that I’m having problems.. but I need to drive tomorrow and the dealership says that they might take upto three days.. should I just call a locksmith and get it over with?

very little information.. but I' assuming that your key is not working or getting stuck.. Try lubricating. If that doesn't work, its probably a fuse/latch/actuator issue.. in all cases, a locksmith might be handy

There are different solutions for different years and for different models...all depending on the root cause.

Viper Nation: In my opinion, this is a very suspicious post. While I am willing to help folks, one must guard against what might be someone with less than honorable plans. For this reason, I try to screen this type of request carefully. For those so interested, google this person's screen name.
