Just got my viper back with an ACR aero set up, lot's of folks to thank; Car Prep (Fountain Valley CA) for the paint work including switching the stripes from black to silver last Novemeber, JonB for the Belangers, KW's, Stop Tech rotors/SS lines, pads, Kuhmo's, etc. etc (and who has/had a smokin deal on an ACR aero kit, Avondale Dodge (PHX) Aero kit and Mopar ECU, Dan @ DC for the header install, motor work and solving the %^&*($% backfire problem, Ross @ Exoticraft for the rollbar, technical assiastance to Mark J @ Woodhouse (back fire, etc, etc) and Dan "ViperX for ACR set up and ton's more.

Only have gone 20 miles on the freeway home but what a difference the aero makes at 75-80 mph. Viper is set up for 18" Forgelines so the rear looks too high in the pictures. Can wait for the Spring Mountain track day in 8 days, thanks Michael V!!

Dodge/Prefix sent 3 boxes with a set of templates and an install manual and an ACR set up manual, outside of paint its fairly simple to install.

Nearly a year ago I debated painting like the red/black ACR's but decided to go the red/silver route so I painted the cannards body colored like the 98 GTSR and found ACR logo's in silver that show the body color. (Sorry if I offend the garage queen and/or purists)

Can't wait to track it at places like Willow, #2, 8 and 9

Hey Mike, car looks HOOOOOOOOOOT. :headbang: Glad you solved the backfire issue too. What spring rates are you running on the KW's? Will the increased in downforce need more springs?

Hey Bruce, went up to the rear 1086's? from KW, had the 500 plus/800.'s Their not too stiff, you got to get out of LA county and come to the smooth roads of the OC. Are you going to Spring Mountain? Hope so. 30 days at DC to get the backfired fixed, I've put maybe 150 miles on the viper since the July dyno day, including the 60 miles on the 405 back from DC. See you in Pahrump!

I went down to 800# in the rear but have not driven the car fast so don't know how it'll perform or even bottom out at speed. Car is still bouncy with the new springs though. So I'll just hv to move to OC because of the car then.

Beautiful job. Love the color combo. Can you summarize exactly what you installed on the suspension to handle the downforce? Which KWs and which springs? Thanks.

I've been using the KW 2's dating back to my 06 coupe. After a couple of track events in the 06, I went with stiffer KW springs, 500 and change in the front and 800 in the rear. (Metric so their odd rates). (Stock KW2's are approximatley 365/685). I then switched the rears to the 1086's from KW that are the same spring weight as the ACR's V3 set up. The car sits lower in the rear with the 18's, but I don't think I'll have a problem. On my 06 I did have problems with the 685's and any height setting lower than stock caused me to tear up my rear inner fenders

WOW..... nicely done... And 1 of 1, for sure...

Thanks! The VCA says there was 1 '08 with this color combo, side by side the differnce is the wheel color, canards. My stripes were altered, this was originally a red/black 08. I widened the roof stripes to the 06 width and tapered them on the hood.

dtenney-David, thanks for your help and advice! Not sure if they advanced the kit since you got yours? I took your advice and had taken a number of pictures of ViperX's ACR. They supplied all the templates and a straightforward manual, making it alot easier than I thought it would.

Thanks for the help by another great member!

Last years C/C/C was a blast for both of us. I'm going to run ( first time ) at
Willow Springs the weekend before. The Silver bullet is ready to go for Track.
Viper X said he would be my Coach if I fly :nono: out of formation.

Great for you, that Pantera event is good, I've gone the last 2 or 3 years. Dan will take good care of you. I've got to be in PHX for family, see you guys the following weekend!
