For sometime I pondered the merits of getting the white mamba supercharged by DLM. I took the plunge and got my car back over the weekend. I have to say I made the right decision. Doug's shop is filled to capacity but his "winning customers" philosphy made me feel comfortable. The 20 miles ride back to the house was an awesome experience. I recommend the upgrade to anyone. I put red supercharged lettering below the rear bumper viper sign. I also placed them on each side of the sills just to remind the high performance people that Vipers can be energized beyound their original capability.

Hey Art,

Glad to hear that you got it done. I know your SRT must be flying low. Enjoy the ride and hope to see it soon.

Can't wait to see the pics! Ask Doug if he installed the bar to keep the belt tight... I took it back and did this for safety reasons and to keep the power where it should be.

Enjoy...

Okay, inquiring minds want to know what this bar is.

The Paxton install is so much fun it's hard to believe it's still legal!

My only glitch, check your hood insulation to see if the rear corners of the air box touches it. Mine did and Paxton is now doing a rework of their air box.

Enjoy.

Viper X, Mine too. So what will Paxton do for thos of us that already have one? It is very tight with the airbox in contact with the hood and with the intercooler.

Viper X,

Mine touches on the left corner as well. It has rubbed a small hole in the hood pad. Anybody have a pic of the new one if it is available??? Wonder if I could call Paxton and get mine replaced?

Maverick;
Are you referring to the "quick" release bracket? If so, I had that option installed in the system.

My car is still down there! Its been a long time but, I had him pull the engine so that is why it is taking so long. It is going to have polished and ported heads like stage3 or4 valves, roller rockers, comp coupe cam, balanger headers, forged pistons rods, polished intake, and 13-15 psi. Hopefully it will pull 800+hp we will see.

K enric:

Finally saw your car in different stages of upgrade while getting mine. It will certainly be a rocket-ship. You will have to do a write-up after your test drive! Hopefully you will pick up at DLM so he can tweak any last minute forgot me's.

Art,

It is a tensioner that tightens the belt so you don’t lose any boost. Good if you are drag racing. If you are going to track it then not as necessary as you want the belt a bit loose.

It is new but it appears to achieve max boost (around 7.5 psi). I have only taken to 5000 rpm so it may have a little more up higher, but even with just shake down miles it is putting a smile on my face. I gotta say if the SRT behaved like my Gen I it would be uncontrollable. When you step into it it breaks the tires loose at around 4000 rpm in 2nd with warm tires. :)

Note I started a separate thread on the air cleaner interference.
