DO I HAVE THE FASTEST STOCK VIPER OF ALL GEN\'S

I'm trying to find out if anyone has posted a faster time then 11.514 in
a stock viper of all three gen's. My car does have tubes and filters which
the ACR comes stock with. the only other very slight mod i have, if you can
call it that, is the mopar factory exhaust. The exhaust still has stock cats
and the only thing it changes is high flow resonaters with rear muffler delete.
I feel I can run the same times with the original exhaust, tubes and filters. I want
the record and get it documented. So does anyone know of any better stock posted
times from any gen?

Here it is. My car number as seen and on time slip #001

I will be racing in the Vette/Viper Shootout May 20th at Cecil County Dragway and
will be trying to beat this time which I think I can do. I also have
a match race that day against the guy (Ranger) who has posted the fastest time
to date for the new Z06. Hope to see some of you guys at the race.

Great time Tom. There are those of us over a mile high that run stock Gen IIs in the 12.3 - 12.7 range. With the loss of power at these altitudes, it would be interesting to see what we run at sea level.

Your comparison was of the "all other things being equal" variety. You said that basically the weight removal (albeit slight) of the mufflers and the power gained from the tubes/filters/catback made absolutely no difference at all. So what are you saying, you run with a full tank of gas with your current setup and got your times, then are going to switch back to the actual stock setup of your car and run with an empty tank? You are a *****.

Definatly the fastest time for a car with those mods that I have seen, but you cannot call it stock because it isn't.

As little the changes are, it has been modified from its showroom state.

While very close to stock it is not "pure stock"

The only way you are going to get everyone to give you the fastest stock viper title is to put you car back to stock and run the same times.

Great times either way. Simply amazing!!!!

I will be putting all original parts back on and running for the record. I will
make sure to have it witnessed by either my region pres or vp. Also i will have
it video taped plus pics. wish me luck. I feel this way with everything
being documented it gives others something to shoot for.

Smooth tubes and K&N filters are stock items on an ACR, therefore they are STOCK. It's not as though an ACR is excluded from this challenge. The exhaust is a minor mod, and though I doubt it really makes a big diffence, is a point for the naysayers. Put the stock parts on and I'm sure you will still take the title. Great driving!

Awesome #'s for those mods. We had a guy in our club go 11.6 with your same mods so you have the faster time I've seen.

I need a s/c to put down those kind of #'s... oh wait, I have one!

I have almost no doubt you will run the exact same time being 100% stock.

Anyone that say's otherwise has not bothered to do back to back testing on 2000+ vipers with your mods. I have seen and overlayed more than my fair share and there never was any gain unless more mods were done.

Far as the record goes, I believe the fastest before you was 11.61 @ englishtown in a 99 ACR GTS.

After you set the new record, please put on some slicks and give us a 10.9x.

I agree with you, those mods are insignificant at best. But there are alot of ******* that would dispute the 'record' if it was tarnished by using a friggin' K&N filter. It's not like he's got a shot of nitrous on the thing.

Great times, awesome driving. My first time all I could muster was a 12.4 @ 118 (haven't been back since), so you are slaying me to the 330'.
