I did a double take when I saw page 7 of the May Road & Track Magazine where there was a picture of the 2003 RT/10. I thought "hey, that looks like one of my duct kits under the nose of the new car". On page 62 I saw it. Sure enough, they did it.
I thought something like this might happen. About 10 months ago I received a phone call from DC Corp asking about my duct kit. They said they wanted to buy one and were going to send a car here for us to install it. I told them it wasn't "that" difficult and they could do it themselves. They wanted to go test it at their Arizona proving grounds and run it through some hot climate and high speed testing. They also talked about putting it in the Mopar catalog. Afterward, they didn't call back. I know the design works, so I thought it was kind of strange that they didn't pursue it. I had shown John Fernandez the duct kit we had put together on our World Challenge Viper in November '99 and we talked at length about the aerodynamics at the front of the car.
I'm kind of flattered they did it, or are at least testing it on 2003 prototypes. But, I guess that's one product we won't have for 2003's
