Hi all,
I have my '06 coupe up on my lift cleaining out the remnants of a couple raccoons I hit a few days ago. Pieces and parts everywhere, but I wont go into the gory (pun intended) details.
I pulled the belly pan off to clean and noticed that my transmission is covered in oil from the midway on the sides down. No oil at the front nor is there any oil in the rear by the solenoids or tailshaft. It seems to be coming from the plate at the front of the trans that holds the bearings in place.
In speaking with my dealer, (I have warranty left on my car) it appears as though the transmission might get replaced. He told me that Dodge has remans available.
The part number is: RL103065AE. Can someone clue me in as to what this actually is? I know some time back gen 3 transmissions were as scarce as hens teeth, but there were new gen 2 transmissions available.
The idea of putting something in that I dont have a history on is a biit unsettling, but then again I can be over reacting.
thanks
Steve A.
