Does anyone know of this color on the viper?

The viper that I just purchased was supposedly one of a kind from the factory. The person who purchased the car wanted it to be in the prowler color (black cherry). Has anyone ever heard of this color on the viper straight from the factory? Thanks.

my guess is that it is not a factory color you can take you vin tag and in one of the last Viper magezines had a way to decode the color of the car(i think color was one of the things coded into the vin?)

If it were a factory color, that would be quite a collectable Viper. If you can't get the VIN decoded, call Chuck Tator with it and he can look it up in the Dodge database to give you some more history.

some people have never heard of a viper valeno though either. (also not stock BTW).

I hope you didn't pay extra for it. We found out about the
"misplaced" Gen1 hood and tracked that car down under. I
think there were three Autos built on request for special
handicapped customers. But a one-off purple car would have
been well documented by now. What year is it?

Oh, and I'd like to see pics if you have them.

This is aftermarket. Your Gen1 was produced before the Prowler was introduced, so I think the seller was providing incorrect information.

i may be incorrect but there have not been any vipers produced with automatic trannys from the factory.
