Does oil have a shelf life?

I found a case of Mobile 1 buried in my garage this weekend. It's dated 1999. Does oil have a shelf life?

if its been put away from sunlight, consistent room temperature and never been opened it should be alright. oil can oxidize once opened/used. dont quote me though.

Yes, your oil is old and should be disposed of properly. Send it to my address and i will be sure it gets disposed of in the correct manner. (in my car)
