After giving it a very serious thought and considering a Gen 5 for a stable mate for my 09 Viper, I finally pulled the trigger and it is not Gen 5. I was pretty torn on the subject but dealing with a few Viper dealers helped me make up my mind and go with something else. I felt like a little kid when the enclosed trailer pulled up yesterday and my new car rolled out. No disrespect to new Viper buyers but I know now I would not be happy if I bought one.

Enjoy your new ride. If you get a chance, and you have not already done so, drive the Gen V at speed around a road course. Without doing that, the potential of the Gen V cannot be legally felt on the street. Although it is subjective, I also think that there is no better design on the road today at any price. - particularly if it is a black TA.

I would like to see the person who would take you up on this bet.

Well no, I bought a Rossion. I guess you did not look at my previous response. I like to drive a car, not an automated video console...
What color did you get? I really don't think that would be the darkside. They look really cool. Don't know much about performance.

Sorry. I thought that you were kidding above. Enjoy it.

I hardly think the darkside is a Rossion, cool car. Prius or Vette would be true darkside (is there a difference? LOL).

I hope you enjoy it, I've never driven one, but It seems like it would be cool

Got an FType myself, a lot of fun, but I can't really compare it to a Viper, esp at speed.

You may have to drop by Vacaville and show it off.....I'm thinking a Rossion would be a great track car due to its very light weight. Congrats and post up some pics.
This is not a track car, way too pretty to tear it up, not to mention warranty implications. Rossion makes Q1R for track, 2000lbs and 300hp 4cyl stripped car. Still trying to figure out where the 450hp rating comes from since I have seen the dyno file for it and it did 430 at the rear wheels.

I am not a show off guy and in fact, after seeing what happened on Saturday, I may keep driving to after dark hours. Oh and yeah, I am sure Ralph and Juechter both will be knocking on my door soon delivering cars, LMAO.

Here is a pic from Saturday, sorry for the watermarks but based on recent experience, this may be a necessity for me.

You mean you bought a Noble...ohhhhh. I've driven one of those. That's not the "Dark Side" lol. The average Joe would not know what that car was. Was a snappy car when I drove it, but I did not drive it hard. Isn't that car meant for the track?

I feel very fortunate that I was able to find one and then buy it. I consider this the dark side because the car is so much anti everything out there. LOL at Corvette and Prius defining the dark side...

May do you good to drive an actual Rossion or do some research before making these statements. :rolaugh:

And hey, if I bought Gen5, you would tell me I really bought Gen4. If I bought 911 Turbo, I would be buying a Beetle, Aston Martin would be a Jag and on and on... LMAO...

Thanks for posting, I guess there is a story behind "Saturday" and the watermarks. Gorgeous car, those wheels look cool too.

So who did the build? (I looked at the site and they said you still had to spend 45 hours in assembly, perhaps that's dated).

Pretty color, now I get "darkside", thank god not a prius :)

Nice, some pics of the engine would be good...

How much does this car weigh? Does it got some big fat tires on the rear?

Truthfully, If I were in the market right now I would be hard pressed to buy a Gen V over a C7 Z06, even though I adore my Viper.

I am not sure about this part actually, I think turbohoses... Black metallic is very nice, indeed although care of black paint is not something I like, based on past experiences...

Well, I'll let you guys fight this one out. I seriously doubt I will ever need more power but if I do, I am not bound by anything at all, including ECU software or emissions regulations (yes, my car is completely exempt from emissions laws).

This info is on the internet and plenty of it. No big fat tires are needed because the car weighs hefty 2500 lbs:D
