When I close door slowly it bites the latch, but need to be pushed hard to be lifted about 1/8 of an inch to be closed completely. When you close the door slowly does it lift up to latch or just close hard? You can do this yourself if need by removing the triangular hinge cover and making very small adjustments at the hinge. Only loosen the nuts enough so it takes a bit of force to move. Never just slam it shut always slowly close it so you can see how much you moved it at the back.

What is this towel versus car jack technique people talking about on this forum?
That technique is used to "bend" the door into adjustment (use towel to cradle and pull up on the door) it could also be meant that this is what you can use to hold the door in place while you tighten the hinge. This was needed on some of the Gen1/2 cars but NOT the right way for the Gen3/4 cars.
Mark, since I have Gen3 what do you suggest I do if "towel" technique is not the right thing?
Adjust at the hinge? If I do it right, I am sure the door will be closing much better, but wouldn't my door be slightly offline with the rest of the body?
