Took the car for a full detail this morning and went to pick it up. Car looks great but went to open the door and nothing happened :omg:..... So pissed but they are taking responsibility for it. It looks like they are going to pay dodge to trouble shoot and fix. very happy with them standing up and paying for the work. Has anyone had this problem? I would rather not have this place just throw money away to have this figured out. Please advice so that this can be fixed.

its the wiring, the wires crack, just need to open the door and fix the wire that broke, it happens all the time. I had it happen to one of my 96 GTS's that had 38 miles on it.

Specifically, where the wiring goings through the rubber boot from the door to the body is where they usually break. Very common on these cars. The detail shop didn't do anything to cause it, just dumb luck that they had it when the wires broke.

For the key fob, I picked up one new on an auction site that looks exactly like my original. It was easy to program but you have to reprogram the old one at the same time. Do a search, directions are online.

Here is what the door wiring bundle looks like. The wires sometimes break over time due to the stresses of opening/closing the doors. If this is the case, the detailer had zero to do with it...

Thanks for the tips. I just was checking all the wiring and it appears nothing is broken. The door works fromthe inside and has always through this issue. The outside does work intermittently by pushing the button like 20 times. Do you think the switch may be going bad?
