I have been asked this question alot recently. The answer is you can run any tires you want but, in order to be involved with the Michelin Challenge Series to receive points and trophies you have to run on Michelins. You will still get the same amount of time on the track and the lap times recorded but you will not be invloved in the points and trophies. With Michelin as one of our main sponsors we suggest you buy many sets of Michelin tires and run them for they are great tires!

Hope this clears up any misconceptions!

You do not need a roll bar if you run DOT tires. You only need a roll bar if you are running slicks ie. Hoosier slicks, Goodyear etc...

Correction - to run Hoosier DOTs, Pilot Sport Cups, you need a rollbar. Same for Kumho's. They are pretty close to a "slick" and the DOT designation is splitting hairs - they are not really a tire you want to drive in all weather, etc., like a Pilot Sport.
