Drag racing was GREAT FUN - we\'re going again next Friday!
Well, we had a great time tonight...
I arrived at the track at 5:30, and made a couple of passes. The track was pretty slick, so the best I could muster was a 12.26 and a 12.4 something. Rick showed up in his 2000 RT/10 and we put on a good show for the spectators
I think we all had a good time. My best of the night was a [email protected]. I launched at 2000RPM... could have launched higher and gotten an 11-second run I think, but as soon as my stage light came on, they ran the tree and I had no time to rev it up more than 2k..
I saw Tim run a 12.2 on 18" P-Zero's and 3.73 gears - not bad at ALL! Did you manage to beat that time Tim? Bill's first run EVER was a 12.8 in a stock Gen I RT/10. VERY respectable time. I think Bill got bitten by the drag racing bug - it's a lot of fun, isn't it?
Rick and Afy - how did you guys do the rest of the night? Bill and I left early to hit the comedy show and have a drink, and we met up with some of the Vette guys. The comedian was pretty funny, and the company was good as always.
We do this pretty much every week... so next Friday I will be at the dragstrip again, and I hope some of the New England snakes will slither out of their dens and join me at the track. After the track, we usually head down to Owen O Leary's in Southboro (right on Rt.9) for a few drinks before the night is over.
Hope to see you guys again this Friday - great runs everybody and very nice to see so many great looing cars in one place! Thanks everybody!
P.S. I am terrible with names, so if I got anyones wrong, please correct me

. Then Tim came in his Shelby Edition 1997 GTS (only one we know of), followed by Bill in his 1994 RT/10, and finally Afy in his 2000 GTS. 5 Vipers ain't bad for New England Dragway!I think we all had a good time.
