Sounds easy enough but there is a check ball at the base of the hose and throat of the tank. The check ball is there because the hose is so short and level to the tank.(your tank is located above diff and accessed thru the trunk) It prevents gas from going back up the filler when cornering. Very hard to get around. So hard I couldnt do it. I have a 96RT10 and I had to replace my fuel pump. I simply drove mine around till it was almost empty. The GTS may not have the check ball since the filler is located high on the rear quarter. Good luck.

I forgot about the check-valve, the GTS also has it. However on the GTS you just pull the carpet back and remove the screw cap on the top of the tank. On the GTS, the tank level shouldn't make a difference. Pull up the bottle slowly and it will drain. The pump has a secondary in-the-bottle outlet that is supposed to keep the fuel level up in the bottle, therefore, whether the tank is low or not, the bottle will contain some fuel.
