Dyno\'d my non-creampuff 98 today!
The local stang crowd was having a dyno day today, and since I was unable to attend the recent regional viper dyno held at the same locale (True Blue Performance east of Raleigh, NC), I figured it'd be a good opportunity to try it out. There were a range of stangs, an '01 Z06, and a couple of S2000s I had invited out. It was a nice day out, and I gather it was a nice dyno day (low 80s, low humidity). A range of cobras went (don't recall their #s), and then the Z06 went - he had been there before when stock and got 330rwhp, 330 torque - and with some minor mods (can't recall them offhand), he ended up with 349rwhp and 345 torque. An S2000 got 199rwhp (can't recall the torque, though it was low of course) - the dyno guy seemed to really enjoy running it up to 9K rpms, guess he hadn't done that before.
Then I went, with my 98 rt/10, filters & tubes, ~12,700 miles, and got 424.6rwhp, 472.8 torque!! No creampuff here!
Shortly thereafter, an early 90s hatchback mustang with a 150 shot of nitrous got 300rwhp and ~500 torque?! Overall a fun day, and glad to see what my #s were, now I guess I have to modify it so I can go dyno again...
