Slotted is good for breaking. Cross drilled is good for looking, BUT if the rotor is not cast with holes (but rather drilled) you'll wind up with cracks.

Go with a KNOWN manufacturer's cross drilled rotors. I am very pleased with EBC's slotted and dimpled (gives you the look of drilled without the problems) from JonB. However, if you're not going to upgrade the calipers (and other brake system parts), I think just replacing the rotors is a waste.

As for buying car parts on ebay... Maybe stickers, lenses, license plate frames and shift knobs. But brake parts???? You had better know the seller. Save a few hundred $$'s on poser parts...not brakes!

I talked to to brake manufactures that make racing / street rotors. Both are major players. They both said to use cross drilled rotors on the street and slotted rotors on the track. Hope this helps.

cross drilled rotors are a poser mod and a wasted money unless you are just into the look of them. for less weight go to a two piece w/ aluminum hat that is either solid vented disc or a slotted disc.
