So I've been running the reds for over a year now, and while the car was stored over the winter, I was told to bed them in HARD, harder than I had before.
I go to a deserted highway, get the car up to 100, hammer the brakes to a stop, and repeat 5 times. When I pulled over I had smoke pouring off all four corners. I figured I'd better get moving to cool 'em off.
The rest of that day, no more squeal. Perfect right?
Nope, next day my car's squealing like a city bus again. I guess I'll try the Hawks?
My question here is, the rotors are almost new, how much scuffing is enough? Can I use a flapper wheel? What do you guys use to get the old material off, and how important is it?
