Sounds like a long shot, but the Manual stars* that code as one of the
codes that can be set off by low fuel level.
It recommends adding fuel to 1/4th tank and try again.

The MIL code 24 is non-specific for all three wires to the TPS sensor.
If you could connect a scan reader - you could narrow the code to one of the
three connecting wires.

When your idle is 2000RPM - is it at first start up (open loop)
or after the motor is warm(closed loop)

Since your problems now seem unrelated to your original task, trace
back and think of anything you might have done. Also check your throttle plates to see if they are closing all the way, and make sure they are
synchronized.

The O2 sensors are powered up by the ASD circuit - and that circuit
to the O2 sensors has a 10amp fuse that protects it - I think it is the #1 fuse -
Check it. You could have blown it when the O2 sensor went out.

Provide me with a fax number and I will fax you the diagnostic trouble shooting for a TPS

YOU WILL NEED A COMPUTER TO PLUG IN TO READ TPS VOLTAGE THOUGH

If you have a volt meter you can check the TPS sensor.
I know you mentioned that you had checked the voltage, but can you do it
with the sensor connected - at the time it idles high? You will either need
a needle probe to pierce the insulation or an backadapter that you can insert into the connector. You can use your imagination and fabricate these.
Then test the output wire (center wire) of the sensor - check it at idle and
then while applying the throttle.

The output should be 0.38 to 1.03 at idle and 3.1v to 4v at WOT and
it should have a smooth trasition when the throttle blades are opened.
If it don't check the power supply 5v, and the ground.

Check the terminals for bad connections - sometime the female connector will
spread too far for a good contact.

As far as the fuse to the O2 sensors - if it is not the #1 fuse then
you may need to check all your fuses - these positions change from year to year.

The PCM is like any other computer - it just has to be dis-connected for
a minute or two, to lose the temporary memory. In order for it to re-learn,
you have to give it some input - like a few romps up and down the road.
The sensors are just that - they have no capacity to learn or forget.
