Evap pump trouble code 2000 GTS

I got a trouble code that pointed to the Evap Pump. Icleared the code but it returns. I’m assuming I need a new pump. It’s a 2000GTS and I don’t want to spend $87 on some pos that doesn’t affect performance. Hasanyone had any luck repairing these things or bypassing this problem?

I hate to sound like a ****, but...................... really! Are you really complaining about a factory part on a Viper that costs $87. Note to self, never buy a car from you.

Have you looked at the fuse? Or possibly consulted the powertrain and chassis diagnosis manuals for what else it might be in that system? (could be a hose)

just start throwing parts at it, if that dont work, throw summor at it

I had the same on my '02 RT/10. Replaced the solonoid and it was fixed. Just put a long collared glove on to avoid fiberglass cuts reaching through that access hole in the core support. I suggest taking the LF tire off for access.
