Do you have any recommendations to reduce the sound level which is at 92 db at highway speeds?
The exhaust sounds great, but my better half will not ride in the car any longer. Don’t say it, I already know what you are thinking!
Here is what I have on my 94 rt/10:
> Tube headers from a 2000 Viper;
> Random Technology high flow cats;
> Belanger cat back system which has Dynomax (straight through) mufflers.
Here are some of the solutions that have been offered:
> Use Ted May's "auger" between the cat and muffler, which I am going to do;
> Tunable (Power Effects) mufflers. This would require cutting a big hole in the underside of the sidesill to be able to adjust the sound level, not what I want to do.
> Put the original cats back on after cutting each end so they have 3" openings and fab back into the system. The Random cats weigh much less and run way cooler. I would hate to go backwards.
Any and all recommendations are welcome!
Thanks, tw
