Here is my exhaust tip. Personally i love sidepipes and I own a 1994 with them. However, I don't care too much for the pipe coming out within the sill that is supposed to look like a pipe (the black insert on the sill). Fortunately, my car is black and my exhaust pipes where painted with VHT 1500 flat black paint. This way, you really can't see the tip because it blends in with the sill since they are the same color. I wouldn't want to accentuate a the exhaust tip because I think it would look hokey. I like true sidepipes...not a sidepipe within a simulated sidepipe cover. Just my opinion. I'd leave it alone.
Plus, if you are crafty, go buy one a Pep Boys chrome tip in 3 inch (that will slip over your exhaust tip) for no more than $20. Cut a two inch piece of each end with a cut off saw and slip fit them over your existing 3 inch exhaust where it exits through the sill. Drill a small hole and spot weld them to your exhaust or rig up a small self tapping screw with a drilled hole. Just another cheap alternative.
