3-part exhaust upgrade just completed...Jet-Hot coat stock "headers", 3" ceramic hi-flow cats, Corsa full 3" cat-back exhaust. Did not want too much volume, hence the ceramics and no headers as of yet. Also, in So. Calif I'm not sure if any headers are smog legal. Love that sound!!! Thanks to Jon B at Parts Rack for listening to my concerns and offering "sound" advice. Some pictures at http://www.imagestation.com/members/tedk01http://www.imagestation.com/members/tedk01[/b] Check out the clean TIG stainless welding!

Link couldn't find ted01 :(

Did you still use the factory heat shields, or did the JetHot take out some of that heat?

ViperJoe, Apologies, you need to copy and paste the bold type into your address bar and hit go....Yes, I believe some heat has been removed from engine compartment, but that motor gives off so much heat when you open the hood its hard to tell. I re-installed the stock heat shields....the real diff is in the cooler side sills provided by the hi-flow cats, and, of course, the new sound. I wanted to do some heat management, as I am on the waiting list for the new Paxton Supercharger kit.

Ted,
Does that "90" degree come pre welded to the cat? Who did you get the hi-flows from?

ViperJoe,
Hi-flows, special 3" Corsa system, and 3"-to-2.5" reducers all purchased from JonB at Parts Rack. Tell him what you want and he will provide you with exactly that. Everything fit together quite easily. The "90" is the stock pipe simply cut off at the point where it joined the stock converter(easy with a Sawzall). It looks shiny because I cleaned the metal with an abrasive wheel on my hand drill. I set the new parts in place and carefully marked them for welding. Took the parts to a local welder who let me hold them in place for tacking. Picked them up a few hours later and presto...ready to bolt on. Best part is I did'nt have to leave the car anywhere but in my garage.

ViperJoe,
If you are planning on doing the high flow cat/cat back exaust upgrade I have an illustrated upgrade on the install. Let me know if you are interested. I used R/T ceramic cats with Corsa 3" exaust from Jon B.
