Just for curiosity sake for the moment, I am trying to gauge what a fair price for my car would be coming from other viper owners. I have a 2006 SRT coupe red w/silver stripes, 11,000 miles, flawless inside and out, and stock minus exhaust and gears. I have had a few people in the past few weeks offer to buy my car and I am just trying to see if what they are offering is way off or not.

Thanks guys

Nice color combo, and not the most common. Your mileage is actually higher than a garage queen and will be seen as more of a driver. Do you have a 3M clear bra to protect the front and side sills behind the wheels from road rash that all Vipers get? I'd ballpark your value in the low-mid $50's. Really depends on several other factors like if you ever tracked it, drove it in bad weather, and a few other things too, but a driver car is probably around that price IMO. Of course, as I mentioned on another board, all it takes is finding the right buyer and not being an overly motivated seller to wait to find that buyer (not too long) and you might be able to do better than that. Let us know what happens and good luck!

If you want to move it fast: $50,000
Fair market value: about $55,000

A few months ago I would have said 45K to 50K, but prices seem to be rising for Gen III and IV Vipers, so 50-55K seems about right for the current market...

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Yea the car I do drive so its not a garage queen, but deff I think one of the cleaner examples.

I'm curious, what kinds of offers have you been getting if you want to share? I'm sure most people on here are interested to hear what possible buyers are willing to offer for it? And what are you asking for it?

I had one person offer $48k and I turned him down and one other person offer me $51k for it which I also turned down. I am not really seeking to sell it, I'll always entertain the right offer though. I recently have considered buying another AMG so if I do go that route this would come in handy at that time. I just really created this thread to get a gauge from you guys if these people were way off or not.

just my 2 cents...........a 2006 can be bought in the $50,000- $60,000 all day long......NEVER in the $80s...........again that is Barrett Jackson throw your money away , or who has a fatter bank account then someone else, or I wanna be on TV, get drunk and bid, crazy insane bidding.........to me the 2003-2006 is the least desireable, because of the 505 h.p and the run crap tires.....Most will just go ahead and get the 2008 or newer for the much improved all the way around 600 h.p. and everything else Viper.......do not mean to hurt my fellow Viper owners out there feelings, just stating MY own personal thoughts when I shop for my next Vipers.......I still love all your Vipers out there and admire everyone that is involved in our world of Vipers and the pride of OWNERSHIP.....not just an enthusiast that has NEVER even owned a Viper at all.......and I do appreciate all enthusiast interest in Vipers but sometimes they think they know more then we the actual people that have owned and experienced being a real Viper owner........PLEASE don't hate me for voicing my personnal opinion as they are like you know whats and we all have one........."VIPER on everyone........":usa: :drive: :drive: :eater:

Using the most recent Barrett Jackson sale, I would say market is about $80,000 on it.

Barrett Jackson is fair market value? What have you been smoking? If you pay $80k for a used 2006, you better ask for the custom enclosed trailer and the spare engine that supposed to come with it. You want fair market value, see Ebay, Autotrader, Cars.com, etc.

But in some ways the 2006 SRT-10 coupe is the most desirable. But I think this only applies to those folks that aren't satisfied with < 600HP. Replace the stock hood with a Gen IV hood, install a Paxton and 700-800 HP is easily achievable. You can't do that with a Gen IV.
Just my 2 cents.

Just don't get greedy. When I sold my '06 blue/white coupe in November I listed it a $58,750 and sold in less than a week for $57,800. 6,500 miles mint condition. The longer you keep it on the market in my opinion, like a house, the more stale it becomes and the lower price you will end up with. Real offers deserve consideration vs holding out for a few hundred or thousand more. I watched cars comparable to mine list for high 50's to low 60's and week by week lower the prices down to low 50s

Depending on your personal strategy I wouldn't ignore the $51k offer off the bat and would attest counter at $52,500. Not to dis your car but '06 has its pros and cons and while the market is on a slight uptick I'd be weary of holding out for too long as it is still a depreciating asset ...for several more years

that is why I bought my 06, I didn't think going to an 08 was worth another 15k for another 95hp, I think I can do plenty of damage with 505, and if I want I can upgrade things with that 15k, just my nickle's worth since we are talking money :drive:
