King GTS,
Thanks for the back-up buddy
. Actually, I believe there are two other guys who have run faster than I have. Jamie Furman ran an 11.61 I beleive, and Jason Heffner ran an 11.58 just a few weeks ago. These two guys were at the zone event the day I was there and I spent a fair bit of time talking to Jamie. I am pretty sure he will confirm that I was running some good times that day. There were some other fast cars running too - Don Nase Sr. was coaching Jr. and I spent some time talking to Jr. and checking out the car. His Dad had just seen my 11.68 run and commented that it was very good and asked some questions about my car.

1 Bad,
You've GOT to be kidding me. You are now saying that if I ran faster, I was not stock? Come on! I am not THAT into drag racing that I would lie about this! It was a zone event - it was all for fun.. it was not about beating anyone, it was just about putting up some good times. I can't prove to you that my car was bone stock, but I can tell you three things that will back that up. First is that Joe Houss was looking over the cars to check for mods. In the stock class, all that was allowed was K&N's, smooth tubes and a cat back. Of those three, the ONLY thing I had was smooth tubes. Now, I know that means I was not STOCK stock, but we both know that smooth tubes doesn't add more than a few HP at the very most. The second thing I will tell you that can back up my car being stock is that I drag race ALL THE TIME at my local track, New England Dragway. I am not secretive about my car and I'm sure that all the regulars that know me and my car can tell you it's pristine and stock - never been touched. Third, I have most of my timeslips from my day at Englishtown right in front of me... some of my times were...

[email protected] (1.918 60')
[email protected] (1.832 60')

Now, those runs are in the order I made them. The first run was my first time ever at E-town with the Viper. You can see from my runs that I was getting the hang of the track. I am pretty sure I could have beaten an 11.68, but it was time to go to the AutoX. You will also notice the MPH... that is *perfectly* in line with what a stock car will do. If I had heads (+50hp), my MPH would be higher. ACR Joe from this board has an ACR with smoothies and Belanger headers and a cat back, and I raced him several times, and that day he was running about 122-123mph. So obviously he was where he should have been for MPH, and I was back a bit.
The only other 'evidence' I can give you is that my car was dynoed in December of 2000, and it made 414RWHP and 462RWTQ. Rick Martino from this board was there at that time. I re-dynoed the car around September of last year and it made 415RWHP *** 465RWTQ. There were several other Viper club members there at this time.
Now, if you think that I put a set of heads or something "hidden" on my car between December and September, and took it off again before dynoing in September, AND I was only running 117-119MPH in the 1/4 with a modified engine, well, you are just grabbing at straws to say I didn't run the times I did.
I know you hate to think that anyone could outrun your boyfriend, Evan
, but hey, someone's gotta be faster right? Just so happens it was me, Jamie and Jason. Don't take it too hard... I'm sure Evan's still cuter than I am
.
No offense 1 Bad - but seriously, you keep insinuating that I either didn't run that time, or that my car was not stock. It was the New England Zone Event - I can't think of a time or place where there would be MORE people around than there. I can't think of a reason for me to lie about my car - and the dyno sheets, the MPH, and the people there will all confirm that my car was totally stock - I guess if you wanna call smooth tubes not stock, then be my guess... I was on STOCK tires, STOCK clutch, STOCK airbox, STOCK filters, STOCK cats/exhaust and all that. Actually I had just driven down from Boston and I had 2 helmets and a trunk-load of luggage for 2 people for 3 days in the back of the car. I showed up late and I literally drove off the highway, into E-town, and into the staging lanes.. and I made back to back to back passes until I hit an 11.68. My car was nearing the red when I made my last run, and my tires were worn pretty well down after 22k miles on the same tires that came on the car from the factory.
As for going to E-town to run Evan - I replied in the other thread. I dont have my Viper anymore - it's sold! What can I tell you? I dont have it! If you or someone else wants to let me borrow their car to run Evan, I would be more than happy. I would not only guarantee I can run 11's in anyone's car, I bet I'd get it to run better than 11.77... so long as the air is decent and the track is prepped, I would be willing to bet that given a few runs to get it down, I'll spank that 11.77 time all over Jersey.
Now, if that isn't bold enough for ya, I dunno what is
