Filling the gas tank

I have tried every angle and position to fill the gas tank and the automatic shut off is triggered even at very slow fill speeds. Has anyone had this problem?

PS. I have tried different pumps and different gas stations, same results!

I've noticed a similar problem, but am able to pull it out a little (the nozzle) and it allows the pump to fill full tilt.

I have had no problem with this so far (three times at the pump). I pretty much have the pump all the way in (remind me to keep a VERY close eye on this thread... ). The other thing I do is drape the cap (with that silly tether) over the top of the nozzle so that it doesn't rest on any painted surfaces.

One other note: I check the oil at each fill, being very paranoid after my 2000 GTS had some problems (down a quart every 250 - 350 miles or so). To date the SRT has not burned a drop!
