But I would wait until the new snow melts! By the time weather becomes Viper-like the dealers will not remember you even if you show up in an Enzo.

I hope Chevy continues to play there games with the ZO6. Its helping to sell more Vipers. I bought mine a few months back because of a similar experience. I like to thank Chevy for guiding me and Fadi over to the Viper nation.

Fadi,

all this jabber and u did not tell us what you thought...

how did it feel compared to the z? How did it drive...

spill the beans be specific

Here is what I replied to one asking the same question on the Z06 forums:

"The Viper feels great. Sterring feel is out of this world. Much, much more responsive than the C5 Z (And C6 Z). Sitting in the seats feels like you are sitting on a person with their arms around you, unbelievable support. Almost too much for longer trips. Very light clutch, just like the Z06. Stereo is awesome. Comfort is good, not as comfortable as the Z but certainly not as bad as some people make it out to be (or maybe that is because I am only 5'8, I dont know, lol) Looks, well, this is the reason I got the car.. No comparison in the gawk factor, imo. i thought I was going to cause a few accidents on the way home due to people staring at the car on the highway.

Can't say much about the power as I did not get on it due to the terrible weather, but I will be sure to find out soon. Let see, what else did I leave out? Ride is stiff, but takes the bumps better than the C5 Z06. More of a solid feel, if you know what I mean. Shifter is nice, a tad shorter than my C5 Z, but, nothing to brag about. I did not feel the heat problem i constantly hear about. I drovee the car an hour and a half home and did not feel any sort of heat coming from anywhere.

That is all I can think of. I am very glad to have experienced the Corvette. I truly respect the car and loved it. Put many smiles on my face. Now it is time to experience somethig new and I hope one day to have the new Z right next to my SRT-10."

So what area of mich are you in? what dealer did you buy from?

I bought it from a used Dodge dealer in Roseville names "Mike Riehl's".

I am from Grand Blanc, which is 5 mins South of Flint, and 1 hour North of Detroit.

Fadi, congrats on your new addition. I got a Viper almost a year ago, and have more respect for it now than the day I got it. I've been to a Viper Days, SRT Track Experience and a few other driving schools and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that has a Viper. The SRT experience would be ideal for you because you get to drive a new Viper and you don't harm YOUR car. It's a safe, structured environment with great instructors (and no police).

Thanks guys.

The deposit on the Z06 was not refundable. But it was "only" $500.

Austin, that car looks SIIIIIICK!! I did not know there was an aftermarket option for the Convertible SRT. Looks awesome man.

They tried to rip you off and now the deposit is non refundable. No wonder GM is losing there customer base. My local dealer said if he didnt get $10,000 over the MSRP he was taking money away from his sales team. Thats how my local chevy dealer justified gouging.

Thank you EVERYONE!! I have not been able to drive this thing due to the TERRIBLE weather. I have been staring at it, reving it up, cleaning it, all in the garage without being able to take it anywhere..:(

I still have not experienced this car so I am still waiting for a descent day to be able to take it out and experience. It is sad, I have a car in my garage and I hardly know how it drives..lol. (Funny, but sad, too)

Thanks man...

Now, where are the Viper events in MI?..:)

Thanks everyone, again. I hope I am able to meet some of you through some kind of events. When I had a Z06, there was a Z06 fest every year. Anything similar to the Viper? Any kind of gatherings?

The Viper Owners Invitational is in Vegas this year in September. Last year it was in Dallas (different place each year). The Viper Club here has monthly meetings and a few events each month too.
