They are not painted from the factory either, so maybe the previous owner wanted them to look factory... Not sure why I think they did on the
Gen 2 cars or maybe just the 97's can't remember. There must be a reason...

That's just a peeve I've had with stripes on cars. Doesn't matter what car. Probably will end up leaving it but who knows.
