Finally! The Viper is going to get it\'s engine back!

The weather is good enough now to send her back and get the engine installed, can't wait to get it back in one piece! It's been a long winter.

Sigh....

Mine is still being rebuilt. Yesterday I was told three more weeks at Arrow. I figure 3 weeks plus two more for shipping and reinstall. For me that is sad since it is my "summer" her in AZ. Once the 100 degree weather hits, I will be delegated to warm summer nights. It has been driving me crazy! I need a summer home up north....

No, we do have a fairly long season to enjoy the Viper, usually April to end of October, maybe even up to Thanksgiving if lucky.

Ron and Roland:

I am in the exact same boat as you guys. The only problem with me is that we can drive our Snakes 365 days a year in Southern California. I am going through withdrawals.

When did your engines go back to Arrow?

Brad,
Mine went back to Arrow in late October, and it came back late November. It's been sitting in the crate at the dealership since then. Got a new clutch, etc for it, so it will all go back in as new. Checked with Arrow about leaving it in the crate for a few months, and they said it would be OK to do so. Good luck with your rebuild. You can put yours in right away as soon as it gets back.

The motor was pulled 2/6/02. I was told it could be as long as 12 weeks so if it ends up 10 then I guess I cannot complain. I am just looking forward to not having to worry anymore about the heads weeping. (Please don't say they may still weep! Hey that goes for too Chuck T. !!!). Sure hope this does not hurt the value. (although I will probably never sell the car).

Mine went to Arrow in mid December and came back at the end of January (6 weeks as they said it would).
I've put about 150 miles on it since then.
Haven't seen any leaks yet (and I'm looking).

The weather is getting pretty nice now, 60-70 degree highs during the day. If it's nice this weekend "It's Cruising Time!"

I don't see where an Arrow rebuild should hurt the value of the car in any way. To me, it would make it worth more knowing that the leaky heads and shifted sleeves problem has been fixed by Arrow. If I were a potential buyer, it would certainly give me more peace of mind satisfaction. What you have now, is a car with a brand new motor in it, new clutch, new hoses, etc, etc, so it's essentially a brand new '94!
