Robert:
The Gen 2s (don't know if it's the same with yours - check) bulbs get replaced thru the leading (front) edge of the wheel well. There's a round hole with a plug that is designed to scrape all the skin off your knuckles while you reach in and pull the lamp and attached wire (which is so short that you're left with about 2" beyond the access hole) out to replace the bulb. Why the HECK they couldn't make the d*mn hole 1" wider is beyond me!!! (Think of weight it would save
) You may want to think about upgrading the replacement bulb(s) while your shredding your hands. The PIA 85 Watt seems to be the preferable choice (much brighter and whiter and will not give you a overheating wire problem) but someone else may have another suggestion.
Remember to turn the wheel all the way in to make it easier to access.
BTW: Does anyone else find it odd that the software check on our site "rejects" the word "d*mn"? In this day and age, is this word really that hazardous? Peculiar!
