Follow up on my \"birthday bash\"...
Thanks to all that gave me advice after a young lady (I use this term loosely) ran a stop sign and hit the GTS. As you may recall, she then told her insurance company that she had stopped and that I cut the corner. Sure:

I was pretty miffed, because I knew that she must have avoided a ticket in order to make such a stupid claim. Well, never underestimate the power of stupidity. I went in last week to get the police report. SHE WAS TICKETED! She did indeed get a ticket for "Right of Way, Stop Sign". Even weirder, as I walked out of the police station, guess who was walking out of the adjacent courthouse door? Yep, my favorite fibber. I was able to bite my tongue and say nothing. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life.
Of course, the next day her insurance company called to let me know they would pay for the damages. The hit was dead-centered on the wheel. There was a concern that they would just refinish the wheel and not replace it and that was what the adjuster suggested. Today the body shop told them in no uncertain terms that it needed to be replaced. Done. The damage otherwise, while catastrophic to me, was minimal. According to the body shop, damage was "not unlike a shopping cart hit". Amazing.
So, it is in the shop for the next few days and I will be waiting patiently. I did NOT sign a release from her insurance company, as they sent me a check for polishing the wheel and the body damage. I left it untouched. They are paying for my crusty ol' rental car in the meantime. Sigh...
Thanks again for all of the great replies and thoughts.
