51 mph in a 35. I guess I was due as I've been pretty lucky in the Viper. All my V1 told me was that I was busted as I hit the brakes hard when the V1 went off.

Cop was actually a decent guy but would not budge on giving me a warning ticket instead of the real deal. Gonna have to watch my speed just a bit closer.

Laser radar detection is pretty useless unless they are bouncing it around on someone ahead of you. No detector could have helped. Warning tickets are a thing of the past I think as the local governments need money. Did you get it in the Iowa or Illinois side?

Got nabbed in Bettendorf, IA.

I have done a lot of research on Laser jammers and have not been convinced ..... yet. Willing to listen to and hear any additional personal experiences. I would love to find one that works and for zhitz and giggles would find the cop using the laser, park in an inconspicous place, and aim it towards the laser radar for a while :D:lmao:.

Well, a fellow Viper owner here in CT has a laser jammer system installed on his Viper. This person enjoys turning it on/off when approaching a trooper armed with a laser gun. i.e. He passes by with the system 'On' and the trooper can't register a speed. Turns around and drives through again with the system 'Off' to register the speed (limit). This seems to go on for several passes. Not saying its right but seems to work well for this individual.

Can you just post details for all of us? Thanks!:2tu::usa:

I have laser interceptor's installed in a couple SRT-8's and have experienced numerous laser encounters with probably five different laser guns everytime I get shot more than once and never get pulled. At least twice the person next to me has been pulled over. Search youtube and you can see videos of them in action. One time in a school zone I was shot at 20 yards and the look on the cops face was priceless when he couldn't figure out what was wrong with his gun. I have installed the 4-head units that add rear protection, you can always buy the 2-head though and then buy two additional heads later. Good units and a must if you speed regularly. Allow 12 to 16 hrs for a 4-head unit install.

David, Have you got a website to purchase these. The FHP are working wolf packs up in the panhandle and although my record is fine there is no one (myself) that drives in business and has g-children in different counties who has a chance here, safety is no longer even a consideration:omg:.....$$$$$$ Thanks Reg

I run a single head K40 Diffuser on my 06. Coming back from Watkins Glen I was hit by Laser from an overpass. Saw the trooper standing up there but too late. My V1 went nuts but the cop obviously did not get a speed because he didn't pull me over. Let's just say I was traveling at a spirited clip maybe 35 over in a 55. Naturally if there are any police monitoring this thread I no doubt inflated my speed for effect. :D

One of our local club members ran tests on several different laser jammers using several different laser guns. He video taped the results. His conclusion is that the Laser Interceptor is the absolute best in front/rear laser jamming. They aren't cheap, but they out performed every other jammer that our club members had.

I'm sure if you run a search, you will find the thread with the results.

You are wrong. Radar jammers are illeagal in all states due to FCC regulations regarding those transmissions.
Lasers/laser jammers are not covered by those laws.
Google is your friend Professor.:D

That's right, for some reason my mind was thinking radar. I bet it won't be too long and laser jammers will also be illegal. The gov may not be able to do it with a Federal Law, but it will probably go state to state, with Illinois leading the way I suspect. Hell, it may already be illegal in Illinois... Everything else is...

Yes, some states Laser Interceptors are already illegal, but these units double as parking sensors and the install is fairly stealth. Also you can switch the system off at anytime, i.e. once you reach legal speed limit, to let the cop get a reading.

does any one know if the "laser" jammer interfears with the regular "radar dector",, does it throw out a "signal" that the radar dector will constantely pick up ??? Thanks

Hey John
I have a Laser Interceptor installed in my SS and 06 cpe. Unbelievable is an understatement. They were installed by 85 of 200. Great job too. I used two heads in front and one in the rear. I just got another LI system for my truck.

After install, 85 "shot" my car with several different guns. Worked flawlessly on all of them. Not only did laser gun read "error" with no speed reading but the LI tells you by voice what kind of laser device was used. After you are "hit" with laser and alarms sound, you slow down to speed limit and turn system off. Cop now gets good reading...under the speed limit.:D

LI also makes a tester that emits a test signal for at least a dozen different laser guns. Helps to assure me that it is working.

You will need to keep your V1 because, like stated above, deflecting radar is illegal. If the cop is using radar there is a good chance that your V1 will pick up the signal shot at cars in front of you.

Has saved me many times. 85 of 200 has some funny stories about driving back and forth in front of cops shooting laser and messing with them....:nono:
