From a 65 roll, WOW! Eating rice

Was just out for a ride in the SRT and was cruising at 65 or 70 mph and come up on two crotch rockets and they wanted someone to play with, far be it from me to deny them! As I got next to them one of them gave me the nod so what the hell from 70 in third to god knows what in fourth, traffic was starting to get close so I backed off and thought fifth gear and those speeds was just too much craziness. The result was one backed off quickly and the other was behind me the whole time till I lifted! They were quite amazed and impressed could not believe he'd been had by a 4 wheeler! neither one of us got out of 4th. All the one guy could say to his friend was that thing is [******] quick!

They were at least 650 cc at looked like a bigger bike did not catch the name mostly black w/ red trimmings, Tasted like chicken! LOL

Sounds like Honda CBR's either 600cc or 929cc. The 600cc bike is pretty potent woth around 100 hp at the tire. The 929cc puts down about 130hp, again not too bad. but there are a few around that will take you, from either a dead stop or a roll.
Vipers are still out of touch for me $$ wise, but bikes i can afford. I wish I was around to see their faces.
Roll on wise the bikes aren't that far ahead of a Viper with a good driver whos paying attention. Especially from about 100 mph on, then the Viper will either be even up or ahead of most bikes.
Last Viper that I tried, I left him looking at my tail light. Don't know what gear he was in, or his skill level but it wasn't pretty for the snake. If he started in 6th, it would explain why it was so one sided since we started at about 70mph. Then again my bike makes 150hp at the rear tires and weighs in around 430lb full of fuel. I'm no drag racer, so from a stop the Viper may pull a small lead for a moment or two but then it'll be me going by with the viper trailing until hyper legal speeds. From a 80mph roll on it will be much closer.

What are the best published (C&D, motortrend, ???) 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the SRT?
Best published times for my Suzuki GSXR 1000 are 0-60 @2.9
0-100 @ 5.5 and 1/4 mile 9.8 @145mph
Mine is still ignition governed at 179mph, but thats a $0.49 fix from Radio Shack then it will run 200mph (supposedly, which is too [******] fast on two wheels) 155 is my fastest run so far.

I also think you raced 600 cc bikes. They are quick, but they have their limits (just think, it's only 0.6 liters of motor). Under very skilled hands, a 600 should be able to outpull (or at least hang with) a stock Viper from a highway roll-on, up until the 600's top speed of around 160 mph. Most 600 cc bikes have quarter mile trap speeds in the mid to high 120s. However, a lot of riders on smaller bikes, when faced with a fast car, will get 'cold feet' when things get hot, and back down. They are used to totally dominating normal passenger cars and slower sports cars, but when surprised by a fast car who put up a good fight, they get humbled. Going fast on a bike can be challenging and scary under certain conditions. It is a lot more psychological than going fast in a car. I haven't had the fun of racing a Viper on a roll-on while on a bike, but I've had run-ins with Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Suburbans, ricers, a 300ZX and an M5 and I haven't lost yet.

I didn't think a Gixxer 1000 could hit 200 mph with just exhaust and mapping. Is there someone who's done those mods and hit 200 mph?

The only bikes I have raced, both from a stop, were a Harley (newer model) and an 1100 BMW. Neither were even close. I suppose a run against a 1000 rice bike would be a lot different.....

ZX12, you are right the GSXR1000 will not do 200 with just
mapping and an exhaust. You will also need to do what is called a Timing Retard Eliminator mod. The GSXR computer uses a gear position sensor, which retards timing in lower gears (first, second and third) it also uses the GPS to cut the ignition signal in 6th gear at 179mph. But for $0.49
you can go to radio shack and get a 6.8K ohm resistor and unplug the GPS from the wiring harness and wire in the resistor across the harness. This for lack of a better term
tells the bikes omputer it is in 5th gear all the time which
bypasses the timing retard in the low gears and bypasses the top speed restriction.
This will in theory (I've never tried it) allow the bike to run over the 179 mph limit that Suzuki put on it. By looking at the stock gearing it should be able to eclipse the 200 mph mark.

Is that better ZX12? not trying to be deceptive or anything
I did say that it would take another change to hit the 200 mark.
