from CC to new GTS.R...

working with the Viper currently running in the ALMS makes me long even more for a proper new Viper GT1 racecar to take on corvette, aston martin, etc. how about possibly taking the 2005 CC, and putting in the GTS-R engine with all it's current upgrades, carbon brakes, making all neccessary reg changes and using it as a starting point for a new challenger? a bit like prodrive did with the Ferrari 550 and now the Astin Martin DB9... what are the body panels currently made of on the CC? carbon or fiberglass? all it says on the website is "composite"...

any opinions on the subject?

The body panels on a Viper CC are carbon fiber. Your idea sounds like a winner to me.
