Anyone found the secret to filling the gas tank on the SRT? I am unable to get it to work except on the lowest possible nozzle setting, and even then it stops frequently. I realize this is a small issue but ... Maybe I have a clogged/pinched off vent hose.

Ditto, no problems and can fill up at top speed without hitting the shutoff. May want to get it checked out!

Ron...

Mine works great...no problems at all. My car is only a couple of months old so maybe some adjustments were made later in the run.

I have the same problem. It doesn't occur every time I fill up, but it happens fairly regularly. If you pull the filler nozzle out a little, it may help. My Gen 1 did the same thing, only it was worse.

My car is very difficult to fill! I have found that if you allow the gas nozzle to hang on its own, without touching the paint, that it fills okay, not great but okay.

For those who are still struggling at the pump, I have found the following:

It appears to be related to the type of pump nozzle and the rubber piece that prevents the nozzle to go deeper into the tank, i.e., if your neighborhood gas pumps are equipped with these rubber things, you are going to have a tough time. Of these rubber prohibitors(?), older versions that are flat and have bigger diameter seem to work better than newer versions.

If all the pumps in your neighborhood have the newer style of these pump nozzles, try turning the nozzle 180 degrees. I have found in this configuation, I can fill up the tank a lot faster.

A person at Woodhouse is also lookinging into this problem. But in the meantime, try the 180 degree (or even 90 degree) turn.

I Hope this helps.

No problems filling the tank at wide open nozzle. My low fuel light comes on at 14 gallons used. When fueling, I slow it down at around 13 gallons. After the automatic shut off, I have found that it is really full, leaving almost no room at all to avoid getting small change when paying.

I agree with this method. To anyone who might be confused with the above recommendation for nozzle orientation - try sticking it into the tank filler with the handle pointing *up* or *sideways*.
