Hey gang, Just a few notes about this months goings on, First there will be NO GENERAL MEETING this month, due to Zone Rendezvous work. If you have time we need volunteers for registration & other functions call or e mail me. I would like a head count of all who plan on attending the rendezvous.
If you are staying @ Chateau Elan for the zone rendezvous make your reservations NOW!!!!Tell them the Viper club rate please!.
Also if you want to participate in Sundays Panoz track day, make your reservation now!!! @ http://www.panozracingschool.com call them Tell them the Viper club , if any problems ask for Scott or Jeff Robilard. Or Call me.
Here is the PRELIMINARY info that I supplied to national about the event: Price should be $300 or less per person & includes all Drinks, Food, Banquets, car control clinic & track events (except Panoz track day) Rooms are 185$ per nite. The final notification from National should be in the mail soon :
The Georgia region has planned a bender to remember for the Southeast Zone Rendezvous. The weekend of September 26,27, & 28 is the weekend you have been waiting for.
Friday nite is a welcoming party & registration @ the beautiful Chateau Elan Resort, Spa & Winery. For those who have never visited the Chateau on previous trips to Road Atlanta, It is located just one exit away from the track & offers a full spa as well as first class accommodations. You may be tempted to hang around & be pampered @ the world class Spa, but we have other plans for you.
Also on Friday, for early arrivals , there is Atlanta Dragway, just 3 exits away , for some optional Grudge Nite drag racing. The management promised our own Viper Only Lanes for some bracket racing action.
Saturday dawns early with breakfast @ the Chateau & off to Road Atlanta. Road Atlanta will host our driving activities for the day. A car control clinic consisting of wet & dry skid pad, lane change, braking & slalom exercises & autocross utilizing the Road Atlanta Panoz instructors. This event is for ALL SKILL LEVELS! If you have never autocrossed before , you will be ready to take on the best after this instruction.Lunch will be provided @ the track. The day will end with the VCA National Autocross competition in the SRT 10.The 2 winners to race PVO in Detroit!
Saturday evening will be the banquet & awards ceremony @ the Chateau Elan.
Sunday is an open day . There will be Viper Only in car instruction for those who choose the optional Panoz Day, Contact [email protected] to reserve your time.
ALSO AVAILABLE DURING THIS WEEKEND is an optional track days @ the awesome Grand prix Course @ Road Atlanta, run by the Panoz School. Experience the 1 mile long back straight in your Viper & I guarantee it will be a day you will not forget!
Saturday has 3 run groups for rank beginner, intermediate, & advanced drivers
Sunday features solo drivers only with intermediate & advanced drivers only.

08/09 From Our neighbors in the Al/TN region : Chattanooga, TN - Lunch at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo restaurant at 11AM and cruise to Rock City on Lookout Mountain, a visit to the beautiful Tennessee Aquarium, and maybe some shopping for the ladies. There is also an I-max Theater for those who might be interested. If you would like to spend the night at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel you may call 800-872-2529 for reservations. September 5&6 Hayes Mopar Meet @ atlanta Dragway Commerce Ga CAr show & Viper Shootout as well as bracket racing, Full 1/4 Mile.
Once again Hayes has invited us to participate in the Mopar VS the World. So all you Z06 guys can come out & see what fun it is owning a Mopar!!!! BRING IT TO THE TRACK!!!!
9/26 to 9/28 Atlanta Zone Rendezvous.@ Road Atlanta
This event will feature the VCA National Autocross competition in the SRT 10.The winners to race PVO in Detroit! This is a low cost all inclusive event designed for ALL SKILL LEVELS. It will feature a Car Control clinic with skid pad, braking exercises, slalom, autocross utilizing Road Atlanta Panoz instructors & New Neon SRT4's & Viper SRT 10's. The Host hotel is Chateau Elan & Spa with banquets & open bar provided. During the same weekend there will be an optional Panoz open track day for those who want to experience Road Atlanta in their own car. Friday nite will host a grudge match @ Atlanta Dragway just 2 exits away from Road Atlanta/Chateau Elan. The details will be forthcoming. DON'T MISS THIS EVENT!
