The summer is in full swing @ so are the driving events. We are woefully without any car shows or cruises so let us know of any happenings. As with any of our events , the more the merrier & potential viper owners as well as other car marques are encouraged to come out & join the fun.
Our adventures in the Grand American cup SRT4 can be seen on speed 7/5 @ 4:30. We had our first dry test @ Watkins glen in the car & it was awful!. After 2 days of work we finally got the car to stop & turn & improved our times over 7 seconds to qualify 23rd. Our prayers were answered & it rained like hell for the race. We started last from pit lane because of a flat rain tire & we were in 9th! by lap 12. We then dropped back with a few "incidents!" but were still on the lead lap when we pitted for fuel & driver change. Dr Jimmy had his belts disconnect & had to make an unscheduled stop. We lost some laps but still finished the grueling 3 hour race. We will be testing the car @ VIR & for those who get grassroots Motorsports magazine, we are in the latest issue.

7/13th -PCA Autocross #3 - Turner Field in the Blue. Course walk starting at 10, registration from 10:30 - 11:30, Driver's meeting at 11:40 and the first car will be off at NOON! We will have 6 timed runs!! Visitors are welcome as long as they pre-register with Bob Clark via email at [email protected] or fill out this form.
7/13 Sunday SCCA autocross @ little talledega grand prix course. This mini road course will give you some practice for the upcoming Zone Rendezvous competition in September! Its little over an hour away from Atlanta. check out http://www.atl-scca.org/soloII/rungroups.htm for more info.
7/20th- PCA Road Rally We have been invited to participate in a road rally. Registration starts at 1:00 pm at the home of (Brian & Lisa King) in *******. The Rally will be a TSD (Time, Speed, Distance) event about 2 hours long. It will be designed to make the afternoon challenging and FUN. If you happen to wander off course just a little, it is our intention to bring you back on course. These Rallies are NOT speed events. They are laid out on paved public roads with speed limits, stop signs and even a traffic light or two. Each leg is it's own entity, so late or early on one leg cannot be made up on another leg. The object of this game is to be exactly on time, penalty points are awarded for seconds early OR late.

July 18, 19 & 20 Viperdays -http://viperdays.com/ We are looking for a big presence @ the Beautiful VIR in southern VA. It is roughly 100 miles north of Charlotte so its not a bad ride. We are bringing our GA Cup SRT4 so come join the fun. Contact me for hotel info if you want to stay in something better than a Days inn style place. The entry fee is a bargain! & the track is awesome!

Road Atlanta PCA drivers education event 8/23
This is an excellent event for novices & experts alike, with a VERY controlled structure. A great place to learn how to drive your viper @ speed . Register now or forget it as they sell out quickly.
August 2003 Peachstate Region Drivers Education event is available
on the Peachstate web site www.peachstatepca.org . The event will be held
the weekend of 23&24 August at Road Atlanta. .

9/26 to 9/28 Atlanta Zone Rendezvous.@ Road Atlanta
This event will feature the VCA National Autocross competition in the SRT 10.The winners to race PVO in Detroit! This is a low cost all inclusive event designed for ALL SKILL LEVELS. It will feature a Car Control clinic with skid pad, braking exercises, slalom, autocross utilizing Road Atlanta Panoz instructors & New Neon SRT4's & Viper SRT 10's. The Host hotel is Chateau Elan & Spa with banquets & open bar provided. During the same weekend there will be an optional Panoz open track day for those who want to experience Road Atlanta in their own car. Friday nite will host a grudge match @ Atlanta Dragway just 2 exits away from Road Atlanta/Chateau Elan. The details will be forthcoming. DON'T MISS THIS EVENT!
