Has anyone replaced their gas struts on their trunk lid after installing a spoiler. I have an autoform spoiler and my trunk lid will not stay up. I pulled the struts off and they are hard to compress and release fully after compressing. I believe the extra weight is causing it to fall down. Is there a stronger strut replacement?

Having been in the RV business for a long time, I'm familiar with struts. They are used in many applications, but mainly for the outside compartment doors. Struts that look the same can have different pressures. Google "gas struts" and give one of them a call. I know they can help.
