Gawk factor times 1500

I have driven vettes for years and absolutely am blown away by the attention my GTS gets. Today I went to the March of Dimes bike a thon at the KY speedway! 1500 Bikes. There was a crowd around my car for hours!!!!!! I LIKE Vipers!!!!!!

Yeah, driving the Viper gives you instant celebrity status.
You can't "blend-in" even if you tried, but if you want to get noticed, the Viper is one of the best cars for it.

All of the attention has its highs and lows, that's for sure...but there is no denying the absolute raw appeal the Viper has on nearly everyone that sees it.

(I particularly like the female passengers in other cars pointing the snake out to their men...that's always fun. My wife has made a little game out of it and kinda scouts for that now...)

I don't get that much attention nowadays. I'm not sure if it's because of where I live but most people just give a casual glance but nothing like a gawk anymore. I guess in this town if it's not a pre production or something really exotic it's not that interesting anymore. Don't get me wrong every now and then I do get a thumbs up and kids pointing but nobody getting whiplash to take a look.

Kgrif, yea, I was unprepared for the attention too. I have always liked Vipers but until owning one had not had that much exposure and had not realized just how flowing and captivating the design really is. Seems like it pushes a button for many many different kinds of people for many different reasons. At first I did not like the attention, but now I just realize people, mostly, are just getting off on it, pure and simple, and thats a pretty cool feeling.

I have noticed the same thing. There seems to be too many Vipers in the Detroit area now for people to really get too excited about them when they see them. When I first got my Viper the GTS had only been out for 3 years so I did get a lot of gawks since there were not as many around, but now it is just another car among the masses.

I gotta ask, how does the Viper feel? I am in Cincinnati and still awaiting my first ride form somebody nice enough to give it to me. ( Had offers but schedules and weather haven't been too cooperative. )

take a roadtrip out of the city, the gawk factor will be back! I live in the country, people out here really stare women really like the car
