Any comments from Gen1 owners who drive their snakes more than on the weekends? I know anything is possible.. but is it worth it? I will have a hardtop and side windows to protect me from the elements (atleast thats the plan)

I doubt it's much different than for a gen2 rt/10, since the top still has to be assembled, and I have no problems with it as a daily driver. FYI, the other week someone told me of a gen1 (black?) available at a Fayetteville, NC Dodge dealership if you're looking - I don't know any other details, just heard it from someone on the street.

I drive my '94 several times a week. I originally
planned on using it only on special occasions, but
now even going to the post office has turned into a
special occasion. AND it actually gets BETTER gas mileage
than anything else I own ! Put it in 6th and idle where
ever you go ! Just turned 19,000 miles.

Get wet? Go to Home Depot get weather stripping and plug the leaks best $10.00 I ever spent. Had the car in Orlando 3 years. Lots of rain. DRIVE IT EVERYDAY!

I've only had my 94 for about 3 months, but I've driven it 4000 miles so far. This includes rain and several long trips. I LOVE IT! Before I got the car, I never expected to drive it to work much. Now, it's hard for me to stay out of the car for more than one day. One thing I could recommend is a cockpit cover. It's a real pain to drive to work and then spend 15 minutes putting your soft top on (or driving everywhere with your hard top on). With the cockpit cover, you can leave your top at home and still have something easy to keep the sun out of the interior.

I'm only like 5 minutes from work, and there are lots of high$$$ cars in the parking lot (but none comes close to the wow factor of a snake!) so i'm not affraid of any theft (very good security). I was mainly concerned about wet roads.. but as I thought about it, i'd just have to treat it like any other ** car, traction is limited so start in 2nd

Leaks was another concern, but I figured it would be minimal w/ a hard top.

Still paranoid about scratches though...and road crap.

SEASNAKE Dave Miller has a 94 daily driver with over 50K miles. Don't want to put words in his mouth, but I expect the benefits far outweigh the downsides. Hopefully he'll chime in here and talk of his experiences. Look up his ID and send him an email - he'll be glad to talk to you.

It will do fine as long as you have A/C and park away from 90 year-old drivers. A V-Mania roof and windows is also a must as you mentioned.

I guess if I park it within the sea of executive mercadies and vettes, she would be ok

AC is a must for me... mainly because of my fiancee. I drove a high powered car w/o AC...I still hear about how she got to hot in it
