Hi folks,

It's been a few months since I purchased my bone-stock (even the shifter is stock) 21,000-mile 1999 RT-10. I hear some basic factory upgrades (power steering bracket?) are deemed suitable to ensure a smooth time and ride. Can someone guide me with a list and potential vendors?

I already got new tires dated 2022, so that's off the list!

Thanks in advance for your help.

People use upgrades too loosely.

But,

Check crank bolt on balancer for looseness. Paint mark it or Pinning it another option but that requires drilling crankshaft.

Power steering cap vent hose.

Power steering bracket and pulley as pulley is composite material and not metal so it can break.

Check Inner tie rods front and rear.

Pedal assembly 'bird cage'.

Coolant overflow tank can be punctured by sheet metal screw on bumper assembly.

That's just a start.

You might consider asking again on the RT/10 forum here.

I am in the camp of leaving stock but upgrading pully and bracket is a must.

Thanks, folks! I noted all the things, especially the PS pulley and bracket, which are first on the list. I should have asked on the RT forum. I'll re-assess once I get the above looked at/done.
