first let me introduce myself, i am tony sawyer owner of jtsvp, we started out in the viper truck world

supplying and producing items such as lowering kits, oil lines , ps lines, shifters and so forth

since we have moved into other sections, broadening out , with a full cnc shop available to us we are able to produce more items and control the quality

hence the venom tb

for the month of april to all vca members the price is $360 plus $20 shipping to the us , international and canada please shoot us a message for shipping

if you order off the site , put in the message box vca member and i can adjust the amount, if by paypal its [email protected]

we are in the process of another run of tb's that will start shipping in two weeks.

Our venom tb is all billet, with stainless mounting hardware, new blades, new bearings, you will need to reuse your old tb shaft

we also incorporate two ports on the bottom of the tb for those that like the giggle juice, it is approximatly a 68mm tb

jerry miller of california took one of our tb's and went to head with bbk tb's having the dyno tuning done at and by dc performance of california

the results were great, producing more hp and trq thru the entire range, and to date no issues with idle or sticking

below are the results
i also include a dyno sheet from the average from three back to back pulls on an oem tb then three back to back pulls with ours , with an average gain of 12 hp and 21 lbs of trq on top

Results are in:Went to DC Performance today to test the new JTS Venom throttle body. Special thanks to Dan, Lyle and Chris at DC Performance, they even had donuts waiting. Most people know I had the BBK throttle body and like a lot of people it would fast idle on me , especially after some freeway driving. The JTS Venom throttle body did not stick once, even after the 100 mile drive home, perfect idle quality after pullling off the freeway. Crisp throttle response as well. We made 4 pulls with the BBK after arriving there and a cool down period. Baseline pulls were made at 10:33 am, temp 67.5 degrees and humidity was 8%. The pulls with the JTS Venom TB were at 1:18pm, temp 72 degrees and humidity was 18%, so the air wasn't quite as good as for the baseline pulls. All pulls were on a Dynajet dyno, so I was turning my stock wheels with 325-40-22 tires on the back. The JTS Venom showed gains throughout the entire rpm range, not one negative. Very pleased !!!!!!Here are the results:

RPM BBK HP JTSV HP Gain BBK TQ JTSV TQ Gain
2700 241.98 245.60 3.62 470.71 477.70 6.99
3000 267.72 270.23 2.51 468.69 473.10 4.41
3500 329.02 332.57 3.55 493.71 499.04 5.33
4000 394.11 397.01 2.90 517.46 521.26 3.80
4100 407.70 411.27 3.57 522.25 526.83 4.58
4500 445.98 450.74 4.76 519.94 526.08 6.14
5000 477.19 483.11 5.92 501.25 507.49 6.24
5400 489.71 496.26 6.55 476.32 482.68 6.36
5500 487.13 494.59 7.46 465.20 472.32 7.12
5600 486.21 493.27 7.06 456.03 462.65 6.22
6000 480.26 486.25 5.99 420.41 425.65 5.24

All results SAE corrected.
Peak torque reached at 4100 through 4500
Peak horsepower reached at 5400, held good through 6000
Uncorrected numbers were 509.53 RWHP @ 5400, 540.92 RWTQ @ 4100

They Seem to work extremly well sir, I actually just shipped one to a viper owner with a paxton to texas, he mentioned he was going to the dyno friday if not mistaken.

We took alot of time taking extreme care on the way the tb performed, with most we have dealt with having idle issues , or hanging throttles, we check every one before it ships out.

I would say on a paxton you should get a crisp response on the bottom end , and a stronger top end pull,

but being honest , I havent had the pleasure yet to get a dyno sheet with one on a viper, I hope to get some results and comments from the unit we just shipped.

I'd order one of those, but I already have a single blade from Roe Racing. No problems with what I have, but is this one possibly better?

well sir I will be honest, we work closely and are good friends with the roe team and I have tons of respect for them, they are just a plain awesome group of guys,

I have not had our tb go head to head with there version of tb, but we have others by some of my customers, I do not have any dyno sheets, but I will try to get some if possible

but the results I was told, was our tb made more gains against a single blade than what we did against BBK sir.

I cannot at this time show you actual proof of that , but I will see if I can get something.

Thank's.....curious to see what's up with it. Is it possible to flow more air with a two hole design than with a single blade? ......The single blade that I have is the same size as the hole in in plenum inlet. How do you get more air than that without forced induction?

I dont think its as much in how much air you flow , but how the air you have actually flows.

if you peer into the opening of the intake, just inside, the air will actually hit a small wall, as air enters here i believe it causes turbulence.

with the twin bore, I believe the air is split just enough to cause it to flow more down each runner without too much turbulence, thus a more direct route to the ports.

our littel bit of testing has shown nice results in hp and trq,

JTS,

On your original post, you have information on the head to head dyno sessions comparing your TB to the BBK. Was there a tune on the car? Where there any other supporting mods? (Intake, catback, headers, etc...)

If there was a tune on the car, was it retuned to get max power out of each TB?

Thanks.

this was the dyno we did sir, basically a stock 06 regular cab, it had a cold air kit is all if not mistaken

we ran the truck three times, back to back, then swapped over the throttle bodies and did three more, no tuning whatsoever
