Gen2 front suspension fit on Gen1 car?

I read a Viper book recently that talked about the weight difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 cars. A big part was the aluminum suspension pieces on Gen2 cars - 60 lbs unsprung weight. The book went on about how the front suspension geometry was unchanged, although the rear Gen2 is different. So that leads me to ask about whether the Gen2 front suspension parts would fit on a Gen1 frame?

I think the 96 RT has the updated aluminum parts, so that might
supply some answer.

I wish it did, but 96 RT is a Gen2 frame with a Gen1 engine.

I *think* the front will interchange. Rear shocks have different pickup points, as do the wishbones.
