Get together at E-Town?

I noticed on www.Crazy4Carz.com , Mopars at Raceway Park Englishtown NJ is comming up in a couple weeks. May,19-20. Is there any plans for a Viper get together either formal or informal? Is anyone from here going?

Steve: I have a list of a group of members both on this forum and the "other" board as well in the area that plan on attending at least 1 day for that weekend. I will shoot out a final e-mail the week before and get a final count and we can decide when/where to meet. The annual Tator BBQ is that weekend as well on Sunday, 5/20, so I believe a number of people in our area will be attending that function, as I hear that is one not to miss. I can't make that one this year, but look forward to attending in the future.............

Steve....at least in my opinion...the E-Town Mopar show has been slowly falling apart and no one seems to care.

I have been attending since the late '80's and have seen the swap meet shrivel, the car show get smaller and smaller. I got the saddest news about this show last week with the announcement of “popular vote” judging for this year’s event….both Saturday and Sunday.

I have yet to miss a year for a long time, but this may be the year I stay home. Unless it’s a perfect day and we are looking for something to do…I think I’m going to pass.

Oh this is sad. This is one of the few MOPAR shows. Of course Chryslers at carlisle, but E-Town was a big show with a track event tied to it.

Some of their shows have stayed around the same over the years, and some have gone downhill a little bit; I used to go to the Pontiac weekend, the Buick weekend, and the Corvette weekend, and the Corvette weekend is the only one that has stayed the same of gotten a lttle bigger over the years; the other 2 have dropped off a bit; they are still OK to go to if you don't have to travel too far to attend; since this is my first year with the Viper, I am going to check it out and see how good or bad it may be; if we have a bunch of Viper's there, then we can have of own good time.....................
