I saw a dark blue Corvette where the stripes appeared to be nothing more than pearl coat. You could only see the stripes when the light was just right.
I suggest surfing over to a Corvette forum. The car is a dark Blue C4. I saw it in the display parking area (Corvettes only), just behind the Bondurant trailer at the 2002 Monterey Historic Automobile Races (Laguna Seca).
If you decide to do the stripes - you still have the question
of what color pearl to use - silver, gold, and violet are some of the choices
that I'm familiar with - there are others, but they are less popular.
I seems to me that I remember someone on this forum having a Viper with ghost stripes.
Now if I could only think of who it was????????
Maybe they'll chime in.
I think that is a great idea, it would look awesome on my Black on Black!
