Not sure if am the first to have 20" wheels all the way around on an RT/10, but I ordered the HRE 545R 20" wheels (front and rears) for my SRT-10 or my GTS and decided to mount them on my RT/10 first to see what they would look like. The car looks so nice right now -- wow! The car rides really nice so far.

Superbar......those wheels are AWESOME! I'm all for the 20" wheel setup. Are they 20X10 and 20X13 or are they wider? GREAT LOOK!

By the way, my rollbar looks all big and funky without the sport bar back there -- dang I need one bad (my brother lost mine.) Ugh.

How much did you pay for those? I am seriously considering a set soon.

PM me if you don't want to say, but those have to be the sharpest wheels I have seen!!! Hands down!

Nope, there are a few RT/10's with the 20" StarTechs. Kansas City had a sapphire blue, solid red, red with silver stripes, and steel gray all with the StarTechs. Now it is down to one, with the Steel Gray having bought up all the StarTechs in town so that nobody else has them... ;)

Those HRE's look great - be sure to post pics if you try them out on the SRT!

Manny,

You've inspired me. I'm going to find a way to get the wheels from our G55 to fit. What do you think?

Tires on the rear are 345/25/20 Pirelli's. The rollbar I came with the car when I bought it and was told it was put in my SVS who also did the front splitter.

As for price, I got them through JonB at partsrack. Drop him a PM or phone call and he can give you a price quote. It varies quite a bit depending on what finish you want, whether you want the R series or not, if chromed what parts do you want chromed, etc. They aren't cheap, that is for sure. I may order some 547R's in 20's for the other car.

Extremely nice looking, especially with the other chrome bits I notice.

One question: I notice you have what look to be chrome *rear* badges on the car ("Dodge", "Viper RT/10"); where did you get them? I wasn't aware that any of the Viper's had chrome rear badging (even the silver cars), so I assume someone is selling these in the aftermarket. Any pointers?

Randy, the ones on the car now are from West Coast Viper, but they are flat stickers. The nicer raised emblems can be purchased from VenomBlue here in the forum. I hear the Macedos and PartsRack both have very nice steel ones -- not sure about the Chrome, but it might be worth calling them as well.

What kind of wing is that on your car? Did you have to drill holes? Is it a real race wing -- i.e., does it produce down force, and if so, how much?

Manny,

The wing is the Autoform issue for the GTS. I didn't like the mounting structure they used for the double decker for the RT/10. I made a stainless mounting plate for inside the deck lid. The only holes are covered by the license plate SOTP, the rear stays planted much better, and it has been tested at speed many times. It is adjustable as well. I looked on their site and didn't see the wing listed for sale, so you might have to give them a call.

Best of luck,

Ben

Like Chris said, there have been a couple sets of 20" wheels on RT's in KC for at least 6 months maybe even a year now.

I just sold my chrome 20" Startechs to go back to 18" on my RT. One real pain is that you can not open the hood unless you turn the wheels to full lock either left or right. Can't tell you how many times I forgot that issue and had the hood halfway up and stuck.

The other thing I did not like is you have no choice in tires, it's Perelli (SP?) or nothing and they have no grip. Maybe that has, or will change soon.

Worst thing is they slow your car down big time!

But man do they ever look cool! As does yours Manny! Coolest look out there! Enjoy!
