Am I missing something or what? Last time scott posted a thread on his new facia you called him every nasty name in the book. The he comes up with a new hood design that adds additional louvers in the center of the hood to help with the faulty factory removal of heat under the hood. Where were you then! I think you are the one who needs to take a reality check!

Yes, I did say that Scott was unethical ( don't recall calling him every nasty name in the book...please provide proof of your childish exaggerations ) basically copying He nn essey's front and rear fascia designs. Since you brought it up, as far as his hood, personally I don't like it as I think it is a little over the top ie. ricey. If I was concerned about under hood heat I would install the center louvers in my existing hood like the authentic GTSRs have. TNT used to have them but I have not checked lately. I don't really understand your reality check comment...you're probably just foaming at the mouth.

For anyone running 70mm throttle bodies you'll notice that the two 70mm throttle bodies have an area pretty darn close (I'm too lazy to do the math here - can someone with ambition do it, please?) to the area of the opening of the NACA duct. With a supercharged engine if the NACA duct area is less than the area of both 70mm throttle bodies, then it seems like a good idea to add more air intake area.

If the NACA duct area is less than the area of both 70mm throttle bodies, then I would be very much interested in the soon to be available affordable molded plastic air intake duct.

DevilDog,

Why didn't the Dodge engineers draw air from the fascia? How do you know what kind of air flow changes are being made without wind tunnel testing? Maybe you're changing air pressure flows and creating front end lift and/or negatively impacting radiator efficiency. I think Dodge designed the car that way for a reason and I believe the NACA duct provides all the air the engine needs. Providing more air than the engine can take in doesn't do a thing. I'll stick with the design done by the Dodge engineers/aerodynamics until scientific evidence to the contrary proves a benefit. You may be doing more harm than good IMO.

Dodge did just this in the SRT 10 open a hood on one and check it out , hood scoop plus front cold air from in front of the rad.
