Hi Everyone,

With a production run of throttle bodies, versus making them a few at a time, we can bring the price down lower.
Is there any interest in a one time "Group Buy" for the Gen 3 Billet Throttle bodies?

Regards,
Sean

Pardon my ignorance. Is there a performance advantage to this throttle body, or is it an appearance mod only? What is the usual price, and what would the group buy price be?

Thanks.

its very hard for me to commit to something when i dont know the price, nor do i see anything to support any performance gains.

I am in for this group buy.

I will likely add a alum flywheel and a VEC3 for Christmass ... :)

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the delay.
I was out of the office this morning.
The reason for the post was that we're doing a higher volume run and the price is lower. Just wanted to let people know something was coming together and I would post more info if there was interest.
There's little to no power full throttle to be made with a TB change on a stock engine. You're not going to feel 0-1 more HP per cylinder at full throttle with your foot planted on the floor.
What you do feel is the drivability difference. Like adding a set of 70mm TB's on a Gen 2, you get a lot more air in quickly. The result is faster throttle response.
This is an improvement to feel, not so much power.
The regular price we've offered them at has been $439.95.
Because we're ordering in more material (little better rate) and spreading the setup time over 25 units rather than 10, we're able to lower the price for this production run to $357.78.
If anyone wants in, you’ll need to call into the shop at 904-529-1219 by Friday afternoon and speak with Dave at ext 2, then #.
You have to tell him you want to order on the VTCOA throttle body group buy to lock in the price.
Also, be sure to say you do NOT want the throttle body to say VTCOA on it if you don’t.
Regards,
Sean

How do you know that? He didnt list a price?

Also how does this compare to the X2 Builders throttle body? They freely post their price and their performance gains. Sure wish shawn would do the same.

Jon

Actually he did. But you weren't quick enough to catch it before it vanished :rolaugh:
Sean and I were PMing about the TB when my post was the only reply.

He must have been double checking his costs to make sure he had the absolute BEST price posted..

Same price he's quoting now btw

Sean, Sounds like a great deal. Even though my Viper is still in the shop the offer is too tempting to pass up. I'll be calling to place my order along with a set of S&B filters.

So any update on your Gen 3 supercharger?

You'd see the same throttle response improvement, which is the main benefit.
Any bump in peak HP would be minor.
