1998 Dodge Viper GT2 Commemorative Edition - 1B3ER69EWV400207 - $69,995.00 –– This Dodge Viper began as a 1998 Red GTS, Now transformed into a beautiful White/Blue with black and blue interior very similar to the GT2 viper, Description: GTSR Roof Scoop, Rear Diffuser, Splitter, Tow Hook, Working Leman wing, Decal package, Exclusive Badging and numbered cars, Competition fascia, canards, side splitters, BBS LM Wheels, Hood louvers center and sides. These are a few attributes that have been added to this car.. I have worked on numerous projects with the Viper and Autoform building several cars which are past and present, The first was the 91 Daytona Viper this car was very successful and still recognized at Viper gatherings, as the Viper community mourned the loss of the 2003 Coupe Autoform then began the development of the Street Coupe, this was a very special car built before Dodge introduced the 2006 Viper Coupe. This car was featured in several magazines and also competed in One Lap of America, we have decided to honor the success the GTSR and there accomplishments running in LeMans series in the 90’s. Now BJ Motors in conjunction with Autoform Development have begun building 10 - Limited Edition Commemorative Dodge Vipers, this being car # 1, all cars are numbered and badged. A little history of the CICA 52 car, Justin Bell, who raced a Viper RT/10 in 1994 and who has driven for Chrysler at Le Mans since 1996, shared the number 52 car with American Tommy Archer and Belgian Marc Duez. The versatile Duez won national rally championships, endurance world championships and ice races in the Andros Trophy as well as competing several times at Le Mans. Archer followed his winning team mates over the line in 1998 to record an historic 1-2.

2008 is a perfect time to honor the ten year anniversary and success that the Viper GTSR had in Europe with Petite Lemans in 1997 and the success of the GTSR. The cars will be modeled on the GTS Chassis and will be completed on a first come basis. For more information regarding this project or other Viper parts please call us at 1-800-270-1608 extension 1.

Thanks, and no we have not completed any performance modifications. This can be done by the future buyer of the car. The mods could be never ending, so it is best to build them all the same and let the owners make the cars there own with there mods.

Paul:

Are those side repeater just under GTS/R ?

Never saw them on a Viper, are they factory parts or after-market?

Hi Luc,

In the UK we need to have side repeaters for the indicators fitted, pity the drilled a big hole in the bonnet each side and stole a Jeep part to do the job.

One day I will loose then and find a better place but thats what Europe requires.

Hi Paul:

So, since Dodge/Chrysler sold/sell Vipers in the UK, thet do the modification at the factory?
I would be interested to see how they run the wiring loom from the hood .

you can still buy a Viper over here, the wiring is simply clipped to the center hood strut/springs then runs across to the side of the hood, through clips which are attached to the hood sound proofing

dont think the mod is done at the factory more likely at the Chrysler Belguim holding area before they are scattered around Europe to the dealerships, if imported direct we are supposed to add them to make the car road legal in Europe

Luc,

Not sure I have had three Viper RT/10 and a GTS then the GT2 they all had similar repeaters and all were Chrysler products so I guess they were all factory as all Euro cars have the same lights.

This also included rear light units with an E mark as one is for our Hi-visability rear fog lights in the light cluster.

There is also some folklaw re the ECU but having Dyno'd both GTS I think that all that happened is they lost the seatbelt chime and the skip shift for the Euro market

Thanks Bernie,

Seems one had an engine fire and was repeired by DC but not sure.

Guess that was the PS pump cap.

Pehaps the moderators if they read this would post something on the board as a permenant fixture optional names no addresses just locations.

These cars are ten years old this year and must be (like it or not) the most significant Viper ever produced, and it would be great for the VCA membership to know their fate.

I will attempt to update the register if someone passes me the info.
Having been to France and Germany many times I have never seen the French one.

Nice car and good project. I hope it pays off. So, the originals didn't have the roof scoops or the rear diffusers? Where do you get the rear diffuser? Is it just a bolt on to stock item, or is there cutting involved? Thanks.

Hey Bernie there's a silver Jeep SRT8 on your site for $439,953. LOL!

Thought you'd want to know about the typo, I really like that Indy Pace Ram 1500 for $20k. Wish I had money.
